Counselling
Clinical counselling is a professional, evidence-based approach to helping individuals, couples, or families address mental health, emotional, and behavioural challenges. It involves a trained and licensed therapist working collaboratively with clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, with the goal of improving well-being, resolving specific issues, and fostering personal growth. Clinical counsellors use therapeutic techniques from various psychological frameworks— tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Dr. Mahe Awan is a clinically trained mental health therapist and Registered Social Worker, offering collaborative counselling for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. I integrate modalities such as Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and somatic approaches to assess, support, and guide clients. Together, we address anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, and neurodivergent experiences, empowering you to relieve symptoms, build resilience, and create lasting change.
